PD Fellows are not registered students or employees of the Institute. Therefore, they must apply for an access card which can be used in place of a staff or student ID card.

DC Fellows who are changing their fellowship category from DC to PD after obtaining their degree will no longer be able to use their student ID cards either. You must also apply for an access card.

Access cards are required in the following situations.
 ・Logging in to Tokyo Tech Portal
 ・Entering and leaving buildings
 ・Using the library
 ・Registering for a Tokyo Tech e-mail address
 ・Purchasing goods using your Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research
 ・Applying to go on business trips using your Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research
It takes time to issue an access card so we recommend that you apply for one as early as possible.
